Resolutions To Make Your Skin Glow In 2019!

If you’re looking for a resolution you can actually skin to and you dream of smooth, soft, glowing skin, you’ve come to the right place! Here are the only tips you need for a beautiful complexion in 2019.

Hydration

There’s nothing more crucial for healthy, bright skin than hydration. You may have noticed that your skin looks and feels dry when you haven’t had enough to drink, and increasing your fluid intake is a simple, effective way to give your complexion that healthy glow. Aim to drink at least 2 litres of water per day, and increase your intake if you’re exercising or you’re out and about on a hot day. If you find it difficult to reach a daily target, carry a bottle around with you so that you have access to a drink all the time and you can track how much you’ve drunk on a daily basis.

Skin care

Your skin is basically your body’s protective shield against the elements, and it bears the brunt of changing weather and environmental conditions. It’s really important to nourish and protect your skin using carefully selected products. Look out for a skin care product with natural ingredients, and avoid perfumed or heavily scented products if you have sensitive skin. Search for cleansers and moisturisers that are suited to your skin type and always make time to remove makeup before you go to bed. It’s a good idea to exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin cells and promote skin cell renewal.

Diet

Many of us make resolutions to eat well at the beginning of a new year. Your diet has an impact on every aspect of your health, and it can have a really positive effect on your skin. Aim to incorporate foods that are known to benefit the skin into your diet. Examples include oily fish, nuts and seeds, and fruit and vegetables.

Sleep

Most of us are familiar with looking in the mirror after a sleepless night and seeing dull skin, dark circles, and bags under the eyes. Sleep is essential for good mental and physical health, and it can also help to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant. Ideally, you should get around 7-8 hours of sleep per night. If you don’t get enough sleep, try and tweak your routine to allow more time for rest. If you find yourself dozing off on the couch in the evenings, for example, make an effort to go to bed earlier, and set a new bedtime. Your body clock will adjust, and you should notice a positive difference on your health, your wellbeing, and your mood.

Exercise

Many of us exercise to improve muscle tone, increase stamina and lose weight, but physical activity offers a whole host of benefits. Exercise is proven to reduce stress and improve sleep patterns, and it can also help to brighten up your complexion. When you work out, your heart rate increases, and this means that more oxygen and more nutrients reach your skin cells. Health experts recommend around 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.
