With the world spinning on wheels and the people living even faster, it can be hard to spend time on skincare and skin routines. Wouldn’t it be better if we could be given easy to use solutions that didn’t consume much time? That is exactly what face creams and gels are for. With a huge market dealing in cosmetics and skincare, it is quite difficult to make the right choice when it comes to choosing a product that works for you. That is why I at OOTDIVA have taken our time to play with these products and form my opinions about them before giving you the pros and the cons.
While there a lot of gimmicky products with fancy sounding ingredients in them, one particular face gel that caught my eye is the MCaffeine Silver Glow Gel.
The product claims to be a face gel with an aloe vera base infused with actual nanosilver particles along with caffeine, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. It is also paraben free and is not tested on animals. It is supposed to help with toning and softening of the skin. It is also a non-sticky formula that leaves you with a natural and light feeling face. Or so they say. Let’s test it out!
The ingredients of this product sure sound fancy, and for good reason. Silver is antibacterial which translates to clear and clean skin when used regularly. People have been using silver as an antibacterial agent for centuries. It reduces scarring, helps with the repairing of wounds and cuts. Gwyneth Paltrow has even described silver to be an all-curing element. Now for the other main ingredient, aloe vera. I don’t think I even have to list out why aloe vera has such a wonderful reputation. Apart from being used for just about anything, it has a special place in the industry of skin care. It slows ageing, cures acne, moisturizes and hydrates, reduces tan, clears blemishes, lightens skin tone, aids with insect bites, and the list goes on.
This product sounds wonderful in theory, Lets’s test it out practically.
After careful contemplation, we have found the MCaffeine Silver Glow Gel can indeed boast of great effects.
- The gel provides a cool and relaxing effect on the skin.
- Caffeine helps with toning of skin and developing the clear skin.
- It leaves skin feeling light. It almost feels like you have no product on.
- It gives a beautiful, dewy glow that is natural.
- It clears acne and helps with the lightening of acne scars.
No good product is without its vice, and the MCaffeine Silver Caffeine Glow gel is no exception.
- It does not protect skin from the sun. It does not have SPF protection.
- It is not anti-ageing. While it helps with the tightening of the skin, it does not completely reverse the ageing process.
- It may induce allergic reactions in people depending on their skin.
At the end of the day, I do believe it to be a good face gel, especially given the price and the effects. I would recommend using it as part of your everyday routine before you leave your house.
